complete beginner, Database connection issues while configuring VCD

Hope everyone can see the screenshot, else i linked to it.

Trying to configure Vcloud Director,

It is currently on CentOS and database is SQL 2014.

VCD : 10.201.225.14  (web address)

          10.201.225.15 (proxy)

SQL : 10.201.225.16

Was following this guide for database,  http://jacob.gardiner-moon.co.uk/2016/06/06/install-vcloud-director-8-10-service-providers/

Maybe i am not inputting the correct entries in the configuration?  at the end i get Unable to create initial connections of pool, and a lot of java errors after.
